a GREAT time...

So, as you know, a couple of weeks ago I started my student teaching. I am loving it! The kids are still wonderful, although they are starting to try me a little more these days, and the teacher is still very helpful.

I have started picking up a few more chances to teach. I teach Calendar Math of a morning, and 4th grade Reading. I will be doing my Unit in 4th grade next week, so the teacher thought (and so did I) that it would be a good idea to teach this week to get in the hang of things before my observation.

I have learned a lot while in my placement so far, and am so excited to learn more!

And so it begins...

Today was my first day of Student Teaching at Fancy Farm. It was great! My supervising teacher is great, the students are great, and everyone there is great! Today I didn't do much, as it was my first day and I was getting use to things, but I know that I will begin taking on responsibilities very soon. I am so excited and so ready to see what else God has in store for me in the next couple of months with these students!

I will keep yall updated! :)

It's getting closer...

...and I'm getting more nervous!

Student teaching is just right around the corner and the closer it gets, the more nervous I get. I had to attend Student Teaching seminars Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week and they were beginning to stress me out. They told us about what to expect while student teaching and what assignments we had to do while student teaching. In a way, most of the seminars were pointless, as we have already been told everything they said in the seminars in previous classes. But, I found some of them very useful in preparing myself for student teaching.

In some ways, I feel that student teaching isn't going to be very beneficial for me because I am at the stage now to where I do not want to be a teacher anymore. I have subbed so much that I am just burnt out with school altogether. However, student teaching might change that viewpoint for me and I might actually use the degree I will be earning in May. Who knows?!

So, I will begin a very busy and stressful semester starting Tuesday as I go to Fancy Farm to begin my student teaching. As I said before, I am very nervous, but also very excited. I know my teachers will be very helpful and God will use me to do great things while I am there. Whether it's my future career or not, I will make the most of it and do the best I can. :)

A New Year...A New Blog...

So, with it being a New Year, I am going to try to do a better job of posting on this thing. Lots of exciting things will be happening within the next 6 months, and I would love to share them with everyone!

In a couple of weeks, I will begin my student teaching. I have awaited this date for a long time. Now that it is finally here, I am both nervous and excited! I get nervous teaching students when a teacher is grading me. At the same time I am ready to graduate with my Bachelor's Degree.

In March, my brother and sister-in-law are expecting their second son, Gaige Fuller. I am so excited to have another baby in the family!

In May, I will be graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

Those are just a few things coming up that I am super excited about. I know there will be other things here and there, so I plan to post about those things as well.
